Anchors Away Google Drawing

Creating and Storing Anchor Charts

Anchor charts can be made for any subject (math, language arts, science, etc) or skill (social emotional, organization, classroom management, etc).  Here are a few examples:

It's important to make your anchor charts large enough to be seen by all students.  If it's too crowded, it will not be utilized to its full potential.  You'll want to use large easel or chart paper to complete this task.  They should be colorful and appealing to your students.  If you love creating and posting work in your room that has clean lines and looks beautiful, check out this vlog at approximately 3:45 on a great strategy on how to easily create/trace an anchor chart.

Large papers can be cumbersome to move around and store.  It could be helpful to store them on hangers (as in the first photo).  The anchor chart can stay on the hanger and then be placed on a hook around the room as needed.  The second photo allows them to be rolled up and labeled by color for easier access.
